“Running is a form of relaxation. That’s one of the curiosities of life; that such a high-energy activity could be so relaxing.”

So this morning I weighed myself and found that I dropped an additional 4 pounds just this week! That makes a total of 6 pounds lost in a month and a half exactly, THE HEALTHY WAY. FINALLY some results in numbers.
I wonder what my tipping point was. Maybe it’s the weights I’ve been doing a lot. Maybe it’s eating more carbs combined with that. Whatever. I’ll keep doing what I’m doing and push it up a notch at the gym from now on. WOOHOO!
One month later: Scales still not reflecting anything more than the 2 pounds I lost when I first started. Why is it so hard? Is it because I’m still drinking alcohol, which I try to burn all the time when I’m at the gym? Is it because I’m only starting to build muscle?
Gahhh… Keep on keeping on, I guess.
Our cook just called me a “big woman”. A “big woman” with no stomach. What does that mean?
Part of me wanted to fire up and get angry. But I just let it slide. I need the motivation anyway.
Off to do some laps.
